Ticknor, Reed, and Fields, Boston, MA. 1852. 144 pages with publishers 4-page catalogue dated September 1852 inserted at the front. Bound in green cloth boards stamped in blind with gilt titles present to the spine. Boards show some shelf-wear with corners bumped and rubbed. Upper spine tip chipped and the bottom third of the cloth spine is missing. The interior is clean and unmarked with a bit of foxing & toning to the pages. Tissue guard still present on the A. Tenney frontispiece portrait of Franklin Pierce with his facsimile signature.
