Description: A very good copy of the extremely rare 1939 Stackpole Sons Complete Unauthorized edition of Mein Kampf.  The dust jacket states that "This edition Pays no Royalties to Adolf Hitler.  Until this book was published Hitler had prevented an uncensored, unabridged edition of Mein Kampf to be published outside Germany in English. Stackpole published the book without permission of the American licensed publishers (Houghton & Mifflin). A total of 11,500 copies were printed between December of 1938 and February of 1939, but the ensuing lawsuit resulted in all copies of this edition being retrieved from distribution within 90-days by order of the Court, so the only copies in circulation and existing today would be those that happened to be purchased during that short time. Few copies exist in the marketplace today. Condition:  Large 8vo.  669 pages. Publishers black cloth boards with silver titles to the front and spine.  A bit of rubbing to the cloth, softening to the spine tips and light sunning to the edges. The interior is in nice condition with just some toning and adhesive marks to the front and rear endpapers. The rare dust jacket is in two pieces and is missing the spine. The front and rear covers and flaps are still intact including the $3.00 price visible on the lower front flap.  Overall a desirable and rare copy of one of the most controversial books ever published.
