A near fine copy of the 2002 First Edition of Clemens Kalischer, published by Hatje Cantz Verlag & Co - Germany and edited by Norbert Bunge with an Introduction by Denis Brudna. Essay and interview by Kelly Wise. This copy is signed on the Title page; "For Max and Paige in appreciation for their hospitality and conversation, Clemens Kalischer - 2007." This large volume collects some 120 selections spanning fifty years of Kalischer's extensive body of work, including photographic images he contributed to Edward Steichen's "The Family of Man" in 1955, the freelance jobs he undertook for prominent magazines like Time, Life, and Fortune, and the 35 years he worked on assignment for the New York Times. Condition: 4to - 175 pages - glossy black and white pictorial boards with photographic endpapers. A beautiful copy issued without a dust jacket and with just a tiny bump along the upper front cover.
