1928 Second Edition — VG, No DJ (New Facsimile DJ Included)
Author: Ernest Hemingway
Title: The Torrents of Spring
Publisher: Charles Scribner’s Sons, New York
Year: 1928
Edition: Second Printing
Binding: Hardcover, 8vo. 143 pp.
A solid, good copy of Hemingway’s first novella, lacking the original dust jacket but now housed in a fine first‑state facsimile jacket. Black cloth with red titles; edgewear with bumped and frayed corners and spine tips. Hinges and several signatures show looseness with text block with splitting to the gutters between a few pages: small tear to lower half of the half‑title. Typical toning to interior pages, with light creasing and spotting/adhesive marks most likely from the binding process. Ex‑libris label on front pastedown with some offsetting to the flyleaf.
A presentable early printing of an important Hemingway milestone.
