Scott Fitzgerald, published by Scribner’s, New York, in 1941. This important posthumous collection features Scribner’s seal and the letter “A” on the copyright page, denoting a true first printing.
A pivotal volume in American literary history, The Last Tycoon played a major role in the mid-20th-century revival of Fitzgerald’s reputation, which had waned after his death. Condition: A very good copy lacking the scarce original dust jacket. Topstain faded a bit; gilt titles mostly worn away. Lacking front free endpaper. Despite a few cosmetic flaws, the book remains sound, quite scarce and historically significant.
