Two very good copies of Salinger's first UK and US editions of his short stories Franny and Zooey.
The Heinemann, London UK is a near fine 2nd printing in a very good+, unclipped dust jacket with the 16s Net price. The Little Brown, Boston American edition is a very good fourth printing in an unclipped $4.00 jacket in very good condition.
Little Brown, Boston, 1961 - 8vo. 201pp - publishers' cloth boards with gilt print to the spine. Slight spine lean, small bump to the lower front and a bit of softening to the spine tips. The jacket shows some creasing and edgewear with chipping to the fold and spine tips.
Heinemann, London 1962 - 8vo. 201pp - publishers dark blue cloth, an attractive copy with bright gilt titles stamped on the spine. The unclipped dust jacket shows light wear to the edges and lower spine tips and some toning to the flaps and rubbing to the paper along the spine.
Overall, a nice set of Salinger's two short stories that first appeared in the New Yorker magazine in 1957.
