A very good SIGNED copy of John Irving's 1996 collection of short stories, "Trying to Save Piggy Sneed."  A first printing from Arcade Publishing with the full number line ending in "1."  Inscribed in ink by the author on the books half-title page; "To Ed and Barbara Morrow with my Affection, John Irving." 8vo. 432 pages - publishers' paper over cloth boards with titles stamped in gilt on the spine. Softening to the spine tips and some foxing along the upper page edges. The dust jacket with the $21.95 price is in very good or better condition with light wear to the spine tips and a small crease to the upper back flap.  Provenance: Purchased from Northshire Books in Manchester, Vermont where Ed and Barbara Morrow were former long-time owners, and where John Irving who lived nearby in Dorset, Vermont would often stop in to visit and sign books.
