Knopf pre-publication Uncorrected Proof of the first American Edition. The First Canadian Edition - 8vo. 307 pages - Publishers' cloth boards with gilt stamped print to the spine. A small bump to the upper rear corner, a bit of softening to the spine tips and a couple of tiny stains to the endpapers and the outer edge. The dust jacket with the $26.99 price shows light edgewear with some spotting to the front and rear covers and a bookseller price sticker on the lower rear cover. The Knopf Uncorrected Proof copy of the first U.S. Edition - 8vo. 303 pages including acknowledgements - Publishers' yellow paper wraps with the tentative publication date of 15 October 1992 and a Tentative Price of $21. A small crease to the lower front corner, some staining or spotting to the covers and the first description page, and some foxing to the outer page edges. Overall, a nice set of The English Patient, winner of the 1992 Prestigious English Literary Booker prize and the 1992 Canadian Governor General's Award.
