Mr. Rabbit & the Lovely Present — 1963 First Edition — Signed by Both Charlotte Zolotow and Maurice Sendak
 
A near fine first edition of this 1963 Caldecott Honor Book, signed without personalization by both Charlotte Zolotow and Maurice Sendak on the page opposite the title: “With warmest wishes — Charlotte Zolotow — Maurice Sendak.” A genuinely scarce dual‑signed copy; I can’t locate another on the market.
 
Harper & Row first edition with the 40‑80 code on the front flap and four Zolotow reviews on the rear. The dust jacket is clipped on both flaps, so the exact printing state can’t be confirmed, though the jacket remains bright and near fine with only minor wear at the spine ends and lower front edge.
 
Oblong 8vo, unpaginated. Publisher’s pictorial boards with decorated endpapers. Just light wear to the spine tips. The wraparound Sendak‑illustrated jacket presents beautifully.
 
A standout, highly collectible example of one of Zolotow and Sendak’s most beloved collaborations—made exceptional by the rare signatures of both author and illustrator.
