A very good copy of the Random House, New York, 1937 Limited Edition, #228/300 copies printed on hand-made paper at The Spiral Press, Numbered and SIGNED by Jeffers on a preliminary colophon. Lacking the glassine wrapper and slipcase.  Condition: 8vo. 129 pages - Bound in the publishers' quarter tan Morrocco leather over black and white patterned paper made from wood engravings by illustrator Fritz Eichenberg. Light edgewear with the front corners bumped and rubbed. A previous owners bookplate on the front pastedown causing some offsetting to the front flyleaf. Some chipping and cracking to the spine tips and a few scrapes to the leather along the spine. Overall, a very good, signed copy featuring one of Jeffers most highly regarded and most anthologized lyrics, The Purse-Seine.
