Description: A near fine copy of the 1934 first edition of Scamper's Christmas - More about the White House Bunny by Anna Eleanor Roosevelt, the oldest child and only daughter of Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt. The book is wonderfully illustrated by Caldecott winner Marjorie Flack, including 3 double-page, 2 full-page color illustrations, and numerous b&w illustrations throughout. Condition: 8vo, 71pp. + [1] ad at rear. Publishers yellow cloth pictorially stamped in black with a bit of softening to the spine ends, foxing to the upper edge, some adhesive bleed through on the endpapers and a previous owners name on the upper front free endpaper. The dust jacket with the Marjorie Flack wrap-around illustration is nicely preserved in very good or better condition with colors still bright. It is clipped at the edges with the $2.00 price present on the lower front flap. A bit of wear to the spine ends, darkening to the spine and a 1" chip to the paper on the lower front cover near the fold. Overall a very collectible copy of this scarce title, a first edition in the full color wrap-around dust jacket.
