Second Series comprising trips in Somaliland, Sinai, The Eastern Desert of Egypt, Crete, The Carpathian Mountains and Daghestan. This is the continuation of his 1892 work 'Short Stalks: or Hunting Camps North, South, East, and West'. Illustrated with dozens of plates of the author's own photographs, and several fold-out color maps in pockets to the front and rear pastedowns. 8vo. 226 pages. Heavy buckram cloth boards with print and decoration to the spine. An attractive mottled calf leather spine with print stamped in black has been recently added. Some rubbing to the corners, wear to edges, and some heavy toning to the front and rear boards. The letter 'M' is written in at the top of the Title Page. Some chipping to the decorated endpapers and some of the uncut page edges. Intermittent foxing to pages throughout the book.
