Condition: 8vo, vi, 155pp (7.7 x 6.2 inches) The Binding — A Riviere & Son Showcase executed in polished red calf with:

  • Five raised bands

  • Rich gilt tooling to spine

  • Elaborate gilt dentelles, both inner and outer

  • All edges gilt

  • Floral decorated endpapers

 

The binding has that unmistakable Riviere presence: refined, glowing, and deeply English. Minor spotting to the leather, rubbing to corners, and a bit of scuffing at the upper spine head; one black leather title label has chipped away. Two tasteful Ex‑Libris labels to the front endpapers.
