A near fine 1975 1st edition and 1st printing of the authors first book published by G.P. Putnam's Sons, New York. While working for the Associated Press Thomas Harris and a couple of his fellow reporters dreamt up and researched the idea for Black Sunday. The thriller, with a plot by terrorists to commit mass murder during the Super Bowl in New Orleans would go on to become a bestselling novel and a 1977 success at the box office. 8vo. 8.0 X 6.0 X 1.5 inches - 318 pages - publishers' red cloth boards with gilt stamped titles to the spine. A touch of wear to the spine tips with the interior clean and unmarked. The dust jacket with the $7.95 price and 7501 date code is in very good condition with light wear to the edges and spine tips, a couple of closed tears and a bit of fading to the titles on the cover and spine. Overall, a nice collectible copy of the authors first book.
