A very good or better copy of the 1935 First edition of Wolfe's collection of short stories including No Door and The Web of Earth. A first issue with Scribner's "A" on the copyright page and "rer" for "her" on page 59, line 21 and housed in a close to near fine, unclipped dust jacket. One of just 7500 copies of the first printing, published November 1935 and released the same year as his now classic novel 'Of time and the River.' Condition: 8vo. 304 pages - Scribner's brown cloth boards with top stained orange and gilt stamped titles to the front and spine. Spine print rubbed and faded, minor edgewear with a small bump to the lower front corner, softening to the spine tips and a couple of small spots to the rear cover. The interior clean and unmarked with light toning to the endpapers. The dust jacket is a beauty with the $2.50 price and just a bit of wear to the fold and spine tips. Overall, a very collectible copy of this 1935 first edition and what would be one of his final works, as Thomas Wolfe would die in 1938 at the age of thirty-seven.
