A very good copy of William Faulkner's 7th book and his first collection of short stories, including some of his finest works including "A Rose for Emily," "Victory," and "That Evening Sun." The stated October 1931 third printing published by Jonathan Cape & Harrison Smith in New York. 8vo. 358 pages - Publishers' attractive light grey and blue linen cloth covered boards, spine with red lettering, black topstain and patterned blue endpapers. A nice copy with just a bit of softening to the spine tips, sunning to the edges and a tiny stain to the bottom edge of a few preliminary pages. The first state dust jacket with the $2.50 price is in very good condition with light edgewear and chipping to the fold and spine ends, sunning and spotting to the spine and toning as usual to the front and back covers.
